was a police raid. The apartment, where trans women worked was stormed by the police. All people were taken to the police

of this person has not been distorted, which is indicating potential outing of their gender identity that could pose dangers for

In the early evening, a trans woman sex worker met and had ome drinks with two men. They found out that the woman was
trans and knocked out her teeth during a brutally violent act. She lost consciousness. The perpetrators put a bag on the
victim's head and took her out of the city to the river. They attempted to drown the victim. For some time, the victim lost
consciousness and was drowning in the water. The perpetrators left the body of the victim in the water, thinking that she was
already dead. Luckily, a passing witness saw the victim's body in the water and came to her rescue. The witness was able to
pull the victim out of the water by her hair. The victim was still alive and able to recover.

In June 2016, an online video appeared where feminine trans people from Uzbekistan have been exposed to physical violence
by law enforcement officials. The video shows that the action takes place in the apartment where the trans sex workers

4 transgender women sex workers were invited by their friend to the city of Karaganda. The aim of their visit is unknown.
According to survivors, they were tricked into an apartment where they were locked up and held for several hours. The
survivors were questioned during which they were deprived of their documents and their resistance and attempts to escape

abusers themselves. According to the survivors, they managed to escape at a time when the offenders were away and their
friend opened the door to them. The role of a friend in the incident is not clear. It is not known whether she voluntarily
cooperated with the abusers or under duress. According to the survivors, they were detained to be forecd into sex work in the
city of Karaganda.
It is not known whether the physical health of the
survivors was harmed, since they refused medical
assistance. However, all survivors describe the
psychological trauma suffered by them, such as
fright, stress, nightmare, fear of going out, fears
for life and safety. According to the survivors after
the appearance of the video on the Internet (the
perpetrotors posted a record with bullying on the
Internet, and its how it became known about the
case) they had to hide, difficulties with housing
appeared, they were refused to rent. Two women
said that they had problems with their family. One
of them told that her parents refused her after
seeing the video.
