On July 13th, 2016, on the pedestrian part of one of the central streets of Tbilisi, police arrested three transgender women. Police filed the administrative offense report based on the article 166th of the Administrative Offences Code of Georgia (Petty Hooliganism). In their statement, they declared that they did not agree with the police report and did not commit any of the acts mentioned. Furthermore, they reported a man who was abusing one of the arrested transgender women verbally. The court made a decision that the abusive attacker was guilty based on article 166th of the administrative offenses code of Georgia. He was charged to pay fine in an amount of 100 GEL.
