Three girls spent the night at a cafe, which escalated into a conflict with the security guard. The administration of the cafe called the police to the venue. When the police arrived, it turned out that the journalists of the local TV channel (HTC) accompanied the police. The police twisted their arms and put them in police cars, which the victims resisted. The journalists filmed this despite the victims asking not to be filmed as this could affect their safety. Despite their demand, the victims were arrested for a week and photos of the victims appeared in Kyrgyz media. The reaction of the society to the photos of the victims was aggressive, mocking "memes" and hate speech appeared in online contents.
