An unknown young man attempted to cease the LGBT Pride March for Equality held by GENDERDOC-M and other human rights activists on 17 May 2014. He tried to rip off the banner with equality message from activists who were carrying it in the forefront line and also attempted to block people from marching further. Two police officers reacted immediately and tried to detain the perpetrator who was shouting "No to homosexuality!". When the two officers removed him from the scene to a side and unblocked the march intinerary, a cisgender female TV reporter approached the perpetrator inquiring motifs of his actions. Perpetrator asked the reporter then: "Are you a woman or Conshita?" (referring to the recent drag winner of the Eurovision Song Contest).
