The incident occurred in the border zone between the countries of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Transgender man passed passport control. Staff at passport control asked the victim to go to a separate room. Employees of customs control mockingly questioned the victim regarding his gender expression (clothes, hair). Then they showed photos of other trans people who have ever passed the customs control. The victim felt psychological pressure and threat by the staff of the customs control.
