On December 2, 2017, at 3 a.m transgender women and their friend went to the office of Rustavi 2 (media channel) to meet with journalists. They were denied entry by the guard and one of them was physically assaulted. Police was called and the trans women resisted arrest, thus the police detained 4 transgender women (administrative arrest). Court stopped proceedings against one of them, since there was no proof of her wrongdoing in the security footage filmed during the incident and remaining 3 were fined with 250 GEL.
